How to find the second highest order date per customer?

  • Drag Customer Name and Order Date fields on to the Columns 
  • Sort the data in ascending order on Order Date 
  • Calculation
    • Create new calculated field and name the calculation as  “Last” Last()
  • Drag the calculation on to the filter shelf and choose All and then click OK
  • Right click on the calculated field in the filter shelf and choose Edit Table Calculation
  • Click on Specific Dimensions and select Customer Name and Order Date. Select Customer Name from Restart every dropdown  and then click X to close the window
  • Double click on the calculated field Last in the filter shelf and select only “1” from the list and then click OK
  • Now the 2nd highest date per each customer is present in the view
